Here’s a new variation on Word Clock. This also has a 12-hour rotary version which has a nice relationship with traditional analogue clocks. It’s early days but eventually this will replace the mac-only version.
Visit the download page for the current Mac OS X and Windows version.
This is one seriously awesome concept. As you mentioned earlier, it’s a bit sluggish, but once that little issue is fixed, I think this has some serious potential. Can’t wait for the next version!
Awesome. Maybe distribute the “Word Clock Screensaver” with different visualizations instead of having them as separate “applications”?

Please make a Windows version! Can’t you just use the “Try” button on the ScreenTime page and make it, and then just uninstall the screensaver? You Mac people need to not be evil and let Windows people use your awesome screensavers!
New version is in progress. This will combine the two clocks into one and is written in Flash so it’s cross-platform. Still looking for someone to generate the Windows screensaver with ScreenTime…
Really cool screen saver..I stumbled across your site and DL’d the original…I just ran an update and found the Rotary…I love it…I have never been as excited to come across a sleeping computer as I am now. I could watch it for hours! Great idea! Keep up the good work!
amazing clock!! however, i would really like to see a windows version!! :)
i haven’t learned anything about Flash or making screensavers yet (maybe later ^^ ), so i’m afraid i can’t help you. but i wish you good luck and hopefully that will result in a windows version soon. ;)
Super smooth, as is the original version. I can’t wait to see what’s next.
I blacked out the foreground text ring so that just the highlighted time is displayed. It’s super crisp and minimal.
do you really need ScreenTime to generate the windows build? Couldn’t you use one of the open tools around like InstantStorm?
keep up the great work anyways ;-)
This looks so awesome is there an windows version already or how do i convert it?
Thanks Chris, InstantStorm looks pretty good I’ll give it a try.
Purty! Port to Linux too? Please!
Wowowoowowowowow…. Thanks

I like it! How about an option to make it spin clockwise?
I love this! Is a clockwise option feasible? The anticlockwise movement is driving me batty.

Hi Otter - it moves clockwise through the words. Imagine taking regular a analogue clock and grasping it by the minute hand; this is the movement you would get. I like that.
Wow this is so amazing! Thanks.

Thanks
